Inverse Construction

A destruction contractor SMASHES demons with a sledgehammer in this heavy, juicy beat-em-up!

This game was originally made within the span of 48 hours as part of a halloween game jam in 2022. The theme of the jam was "abandoned places." Now, the game is continuing development with the goal of a full release in 2026 or 2027.

Instructions (for old builds that don't have tutorials):

Inverse Construction is meant to be played with a controller, but currently mainly supports Xbox controllers. Controls are listed below

Controller (Xbox 360 terms):
DPad/Left stick - move
X - attack
B - grab

Keyboard and mouse:
WASD or Arrows - move
H, Z, or LMB - attack
K, C, or RMB - grab

The grab command can also be used to throw an enemy. If you throw an enemy into a wall, they become vulnerable and take additional damage when you hit them. Notice that, in the current version of the game, throwing an enemy into a wall deals damage to the wall but not the enemy.
By attacking or throwing enemies, you can destroy walls. When a wall is destroyed, there is a chance you will recieve health.

Post Jam:

V6 is a post jam version that features, among many other things, a brand new level, faster combat, an improved camera, and mouse support when throwing enemies.

V7 is a brand new updated version with new graphics and acts as an early demo for the full game, which I am working on! Countless improvements and changes!
